  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix maple syrup, heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  7. Turn dough onto a floured surface and shape into a 1-inch thick circle.
