A simple chili sauce recipe ideal for canning.
Ingredients

- 10 cups tomatoes, chopped
- 3 cups bell peppers, chopped
- 2 cups onions, chopped
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare jars and lids for canning.
- Chop all vegetables and place in a large pot.
- Add vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic, chili powder, and black pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Fill jars with hot chili sauce, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
- Seal jars with lids and process in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
- Remove jars and let cool completely before storing.

- Adjust sugar and spice levels to your taste.
- Ensure jars are sterilized before use.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
