  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in ice water until dough forms.
  5. Roll out half the dough and place in a pie pan.
  6. In another bowl, combine apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  7. Fill the pie crust with the apple mixture.
  8. Roll out the remaining dough and cover the pie.
  9. Cut slits for steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 45-50 minutes until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
