A healthy and delicious whole wheat banana bread recipe.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas.
- Add melted coconut oil and mix well.
- Stir in vanilla, baking soda, and salt.
- Add honey or maple syrup and mix.
- Gradually add whole wheat flour and stir until just combined.
- If using, fold in nuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Bananas should be very ripe for best flavor.
- This bread freezes well.
