A refreshing and fruity watermelon sorbet made easily in an ice cream maker. Perfect for hot summer days!


Ingredients

  • 4 cups Seedless watermelon
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • optional for garnish Mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed watermelon in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the watermelon puree, granulated sugar, lime juice, and salt. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to ensure it’s very cold.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  5. Transfer the sorbet to a lidded container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  6. Scoop into bowls, garnish with mint leaves if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to use seedless watermelon for a smoother texture.
  • For an extra kick, add a splash of vodka or rum to the mixture before churning.
