  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices), vegetable broth, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
