Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 pounds)
- Butter – 1 cup
- Salt – 2 tablespoons
- Pepper – 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder – 1 tablespoon
- Onion powder – 1 tablespoon
- Thyme – 2 teaspoons
- Rosemary – 2 teaspoons
- Stuffing – 1 box
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can
- Green beans – 1 pound
- Mashed potatoes – 5 pounds
- Gravy – 2 cups
- Pumpkin pie – 1 whole
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
- Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mix.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast the turkey for approximately 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- While the turkey cooks, prepare the green beans and mashed potatoes.
- Make the gravy using the drippings from the turkey.
- Serve the turkey with cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
- Finish the meal with pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
- You can prepare the stuffing the night before.
- Adjust cooking time based on the size of the turkey.
