- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season flank steak with salt and pepper, then grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Remove steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
- In a large bowl, combine salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, and mint.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, and chili flakes.
- Pour dressing over salad and toss to combine.
- Top the salad with sliced beef and serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or radishes for extra crunch.
- This salad is best served fresh, but you can prepare the dressing in advance and store it separately.
