A hearty and spicy Texas chili recipe.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups beef broth
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the kidney beans and beef broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust spice level to your preference.
- Serve with cornbread or rice.
- Can be made ahead and reheated.
