Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme
  • 4 cups French fries
  • for garnish Parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness.
  3. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate covered with foil.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, minced garlic, and thyme. Cook until the garlic is fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter over them to coat.
  6. For the crispy French fries, prepare according to package instructions or fry freshly cut potatoes until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve the ribeye steaks hot, garnished with parsley, alongside the crispy French fries.
