Description

Tender beef tips cooked slowly in a crock pot for maximum flavor and tenderness.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef stew meat
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Place beef stew meat in the crock pot.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic.
  3. In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, thyme, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture over the beef.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
  7. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, brown the beef in a skillet before adding to the crock pot.
