Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme. Stir until well combined.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the chicken, and let it cook for additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
