Tender beef brisket slow-cooked in a rich balsamic and onion sauce for deep flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef brisket
  • 3 large onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Season the brisket with salt and pepper, then sear on all sides until browned.
  3. Remove the brisket and sauté onions and garlic until softened.
  4. Add balsamic vinegar, beef broth, and thyme to the pot.
  5. Return the brisket to the pot, cover, and simmer on low heat for 3 hours.
  6. Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with the sauce.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, cook longer on low heat.
  • Skim fat from the sauce before serving if needed.
