- 1 cup (240ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips or your choice of mix-ins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- If using, fold in the chocolate chips or any other mix-ins.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a variation, try adding nuts or dried fruit to the cookie dough.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
