Description

A creamy and sweet dish made with mashed sweet potatoes, topped with a crunchy streusel.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil sweet potatoes in a large pot until tender.
  3. Drain and mash sweet potatoes in a large bowl.
  4. Add milk, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix well.
  5. Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, and softened butter. Mix until crumbly.
  7. Stir in chopped pecans and sprinkle over the sweet potato mixture.
  8. Add mini marshmallows on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
