A creamy and sweet dish made with mashed sweet potatoes, topped with a crunchy streusel.

- 4 cups sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil sweet potatoes in a large pot until tender.
- Drain and mash sweet potatoes in a large bowl.
- Add milk, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix well.
- Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, and softened butter. Mix until crumbly.
- Stir in chopped pecans and sprinkle over the sweet potato mixture.
- Add mini marshmallows on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a vegan option, substitute milk and butter with plant-based alternatives.
- Adjust sugar according to taste preference.
- Can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
