Description

Ingredients

  • 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, milk, 1/4 cup melted butter, vanilla, salt, and eggs in a bowl.
  3. Spread mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, pecans, and 1/3 cup melted butter for the topping.
  5. Sprinkle topping over the sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use canned sweet potatoes if fresh ones aren’t available.
  • For extra crunch, toast the pecans before adding them to the topping.
