Sweet chili glazed meatballs served with sesame rice. A perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into 20 meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until browned.
  5. Mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and honey in a bowl.
  6. Coat the meatballs with the glaze and bake for 5 more minutes.
  7. Cook rice in water until tender, then stir in sesame oil and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve meatballs over sesame rice.
