- 4 cups Mixed fresh berries (Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries work well.)
- 1 (10-inch) cake Angel food cake (Cut into cubes.)
- 1 (3.4 oz) package Vanilla pudding mix (Instant or cooked, as per your preference.)
- 2 cups Milk (For making the pudding.)
- 2 cups Heavy whipping cream (For whipping.)
- 1/4 cup Powdered sugar (For sweetening the whipped cream.)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (For flavoring the whipped cream.)
Instructions
- Prepare the vanilla pudding according to package instructions using 2 cups of milk. Allow it to chill in the fridge until set.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a large trifle dish or bowl, layer half of the angel food cake cubes on the bottom.
- Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the cake layer, followed by half of the mixed berries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining angel food cake, pudding, and berries.
- Top the trifle with the whipped cream, spreading it evenly over the top.
- Garnish with additional berries if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute with other fruits like peaches or mangoes for a tropical twist.
