Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cake flour and 3/4 cup sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add remaining sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold in flour mixture and vanilla gently.
  6. Pour batter into an ungreased tube pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool upside down for 1 hour.
  9. Whip cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
