- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, diced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 8 equal squares.
- Place a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square, then add a few pieces of diced strawberries on top.
- Fold the corners of the pastry squares over the filling, pinching to seal them securely.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
