  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (optional for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling for an even distribution.
  5. In another bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined. Pour the cake batter over the cream cheese and strawberry layers.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with fresh strawberries and whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • You can use frozen strawberries if fresh ones are not available.
