Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  7. Mix in green food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before serving.
