- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Stir in soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined.
- In a separate pot, steam broccoli and carrots until tender but still crisp.
- To serve, place a scoop of rice in a bowl, top with the spicy beef mixture, steamed vegetables, and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of gochujang to control the spice level according to your preference.
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
