Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 whole wheat pita breads
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes until chicken is done.
  3. Warm the pita breads in a dry pan or microwave for 20 seconds.
  4. Mix yogurt, lemon juice, and parsley in a small bowl.
  5. Spread the yogurt sauce inside each pita.
  6. Add cooked chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
  7. Fold the pita and serve immediately.
