Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sourdough discard, milk, egg, and melted butter.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grease lightly.
  5. Pour batter onto skillet and cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

  • Adjust the thickness by adding more milk or flour.
