Delicious chocolate brownies made with sourdough discard.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix sourdough discard, sugar, and melted butter.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store brownies in an airtight container.
- They taste better the next day.
- Feel free to add nuts for extra crunch.
