Delicious brownies made using sourdough discard for added flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the sourdough discard and sugar.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract; stir until combined.
- In another bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
- Combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- These brownies can be frozen for later use.
