Delicious and fluffy sourdough cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix sourdough starter, milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg.
- Add flour and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on the dough.
- Add raisins and walnuts if desired.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another hour.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
Notes
- Use active sourdough starter for best results.
- Adjust the amount of cinnamon to taste.
- Cover the rolls while rising to prevent drying out.
