Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sourdough starter, milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg.
  2. Add flour and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on the dough.
  7. Add raisins and walnuts if desired.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another hour.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
