Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sourdough starter, milk, sugar, butter, egg, and salt until combined.
  2. Knead dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 4-6 hours or overnight in the fridge.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  5. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on top.
  7. Add raisins if desired.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  10. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  11. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Let cool before serving.
