Ingredients

- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For coating: 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix apple cider, buttermilk, sugars, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fill donut pan cavities 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly, then dip warm donuts in cinnamon sugar mixture.

- Use fresh apple cider for best flavor.
- Don’t overmix the batter to keep donuts tender.
