Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For coating: 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix apple cider, buttermilk, sugars, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fill donut pan cavities 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
