Description

Simple yet elegant seared scallops served with lemon butter sauce and tender asparagus tips.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large sea scallops
  • 1 bunch asparagus (tips only)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat scallops dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear scallops for 2 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add lemon juice and stir to combine.
  6. Toss asparagus tips in the pan and cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Return scallops to the pan and coat with the sauce.
  8. Serve immediately.
