Description

A hearty and delicious casserole made with sausage, eggs, and crispy hashbrowns, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well and spread evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Layer the cooked sausage over the hashbrowns in the baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and hashbrowns.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
