- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 pound sausage
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Add the diced apples and chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until softened.
- Stir in the cooked rice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Stuff the mixture into the bell peppers, leaving some space at the top.
- Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and sprinkle cheese on top of each pepper.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
