Ingredients

  • 34 pounds beef roast
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Brown the roast on all sides in the skillet.
  4. Place carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic in the crock pot.
  5. Put the browned roast on top of the vegetables.
  6. Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  8. Serve hot with vegetables and gravy.
