Description

A classic dish featuring juicy ribeye steak topped with caramelized French onions and sautéed mushrooms.


Ingredients

  • 1 ribeye steak (about 12 oz)
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Season the ribeye with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the steak and let it rest.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions until caramelized.
  5. Add mushrooms and thyme, cook until tender.
  6. Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Slice the steak and serve topped with onions and mushrooms.
