- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Season the ribeye with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the steak and let it rest.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions until caramelized.
- Add mushrooms and thyme, cook until tender.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Slice the steak and serve topped with onions and mushrooms.

- Substitute button or cremini mushrooms.
