Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer potato slices in a baking dish, pour cream over them, and sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Top steak with cheese and broil for 1-2 minutes until melted.
  7. Serve steak with potato gratin.
