Description
Indulge in a delicious ribeye steak topped with sweet caramelized onions, served alongside crispy French fries for the perfect meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks, about 1 inch thick
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 medium potatoes, cut into fries
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 20-25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- While the onions are cooking, prepare the fries. Toss the potato fries in a bowl with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are crispy and golden.
- While the fries are baking, season the ribeye steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In another skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or cook to your preferred doneness.
- Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the ribeye steaks topped with caramelized onions, alongside the crispy French fries. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steaks in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for a few hours before cooking.
- Feel free to add your favorite seasonings to the fries for a personal touch.
