A delicious red velvet twist on classic cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 cup cream cheese frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, sugar, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place slices in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Top with cream cheese frosting before serving.
Notes
- Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before frosting.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
