  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat eggs, oil, buttermilk, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar in another bowl.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  5. Divide batter evenly between pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
  6. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  7. Frost cooled cake layers and serve.
