Quick sourdough cinnamon rolls with a soft texture and rich cinnamon flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp softened butter (for filling)
Instructions
- Mix sourdough starter, flour, sugar, melted butter, milk, egg, and salt in a bowl.
- Knead until smooth, cover, and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter, then sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll tightly and cut into 8 pieces.
- Place in a greased pan, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
Notes
- Use active sourdough starter for best results.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Let rolls cool slightly before serving.
