- 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Mix garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme in a bowl.
- Rub the mixture all over the prime rib roast.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
- Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
- Let the roast rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
