Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Rub the prime rib with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix garlic, rosemary, and thyme; spread over the roast.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
  5. Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C).
  6. Continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until desired doneness.
  7. Let the roast rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
