- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Rub the prime rib with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Mix garlic, rosemary, and thyme; spread over the roast.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
- Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C).
- Continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until desired doneness.
- Let the roast rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

- Allow the roast to come to room temperature before cooking.
