- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped or whole
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
- Stir in the pecans until evenly distributed.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust, spreading the pecans evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
