Description
Delicious pecan cinnamon rolls topped with cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add softened butter, egg, and yeast mixture to dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread butter over the dough and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and pecans.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place slices in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar for the frosting.
- Spread frosting over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Reheat rolls in the microwave for a few seconds.
