Description

Delicious pecan cinnamon rolls topped with cream cheese frosting.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add softened butter, egg, and yeast mixture to dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread butter over the dough and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and pecans.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  9. Place slices in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
  11. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar for the frosting.
  12. Spread frosting over warm rolls before serving.
