These delicious peanut butter avalanche cookies are a perfect combination of creamy peanut butter, chocolate chips, and oatmeal. They’re chewy, sweet, and irresistibly good!

- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add the baking soda, salt, and rolled oats to the mixture. Stir until fully combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding chopped nuts or other mix-ins like M&Ms.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
