- 4 medium sweet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and scrub sweet potatoes under running water. Pat them dry with a towel.
- Pierce each sweet potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Rub the sweet potatoes with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and cinnamon, if using.
- Place sweet potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the sweet potatoes.
- If desired, sprinkle with brown sugar before serving for added sweetness.
