Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add butter, milk, eggs, and orange blossom water. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into a greased cake pan.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool completely.
  7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  8. Slice the cake in half horizontally.
  9. Spread half of the whipped cream on the bottom layer.
  10. Add sliced strawberries on top of the cream.
  11. Place the top layer of the cake and spread remaining cream on top.
  12. Decorate with more strawberries.
