Ingredients

- 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne or rotini work well)
- 3 cups (300g) broccoli florets, chopped
- 2 cups (480ml) milk
- 2 cups (200g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (30ml) olive oil
- 1 tsp (5g) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (5g) salt
- 1/2 tsp (2g) black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a 9×13 baking dish, combine dry pasta, broccoli, milk, olive oil, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 15 more minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh broccoli for best texture
- Add cooked chicken or ham for extra protein
- Substitute gluten-free pasta if needed
