- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, top the cake with whipped cream and arrange the sliced strawberries on top. Garnish with mint leaves.
Notes
- You can use other fresh fruits like blueberries or raspberries for a different flavor.
- For an extra touch, drizzle chocolate sauce over the whipped cream.
