Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared cake pan.
